our halloween family -- a fisherman, his catch, and the beautiful blue lake that is home to the both of them.  they belong together, don't you think?

puzzle.

kj is refining her fine motor skills all the time, and especially when mommy & daddy do puzzles... at least it doubled as her first lesson in putting toys away in the toybox. ;)

snowplay.

the first snow of this season provided wonderful play for our early morning before the snowplow arrived to our little dead end & dad's workday started again.  kj's re-introduction to snow... i think she's still warming up to it!

fishy.

a little fishy appeared today, just in time for halloween!  here's a brief preview - kj's first time donning the costume.  she was swimming around a bunch of other baby friends, similarly spectacular in their unique get-ups!  hopefully we'll get some good use of the costume this season, with more pictures to come...

first flakes.

we had our first snow of the season today.  we certainly enjoyed the last two weeks of bonus days with warm fall weather and sunshine galore, but kj & nj also had fun checking out the big flakes flying about this evening.  snow is not new for kj, being that she was born mid-winter, but i'm not sure she remembers it well... so kj, welcome to snow again!  better get used to it!
