coaster.

whoa. i have said for awhile now that kj is going to be my roller-coaster girl, but purely in the hypothetical. she is, generally, a cautious, observant type that takes her time assessing things before jumping in with both feet... but her first time at the head-of-the-lakes fair, and what do we see? it was love-at-first-sight for this girl! the only thing that could pull her away from the rides & the roller coaster was popcorn. and the promise to return next year. ;)

games.

it's really fun to play games with gramma & grampa! whether on lj's new quilt (thanks, gramma, great-aunt ap & great-grandma!), in the yard, in the sand (by the way -- can't pass by without mentioning the 'ultimate' playdate with friends at brighton beach, including sandplay, swings, throwing rocks in lake superior & a firetruck drive-by -- wow!!), or at the playground...

gooseberry.

gramma & grampa are here! at such a beautiful time of year. we had to get out & explore the north shore! hello, gooseberry falls. i've been meaning to meet you for quite awhile now! of course, kj & grampa had a blast playing in the water. my favorite part was our picnic by the lake.

playmate.

we are so blessed to have a next door neighbor that kj adores! wr is exactly one year older than kj, and they have a lot of fun together. case in point: see below. and yes, that is his tricycle that she has comandeered (or with some luck, asked politely for a turn with it? one can only hope!). ;)

nanna & poppa opted to take on an extra helper this week at the johnson homestead! not sure who helped who more... ;) look at all the fun they managed to find in pr! happy summer to kj!
