brudviks.

the brudvik family is one to be admired -- nearly fifty members (10 of 11 cousins, including poppa, plus their families & many grand-families) willingly traveled & gathered together for a weekend of fun here in duluth. many, many thanks goes out to the rogers for coralling us all! and despite the denied access to state parks, we managed to enjoy many other duluth favorites together: the glensheen mansion, the lakewalk, grandma's restaurant, a boat tour of the harbor & lake superior, sliding down a mountain on the timber twister, and best of all-- spending time together anywhere we landed. also quite memorable for this small piece of the family: kj's first ride on a school bus. she was absolutely thrilled! ;)

5th.

to mark n+r's 5th anniversary, we dropped off kj with nanna & poppa and headed into the wilderness. the relaxing, quiet, slow-paced wilderness known as the boundary waters. it was lovely weather, beautiful sights, good eats (fish for dinner!), and better company. more than i could ask for!

camping.

kj had a blast staying with nanna & poppa and uncle o & auntie c in the camper at grand marais. after their weekend get-away, mommy & daddy got to join the fun for a day on the beach to witness kj's newly-found passion for throwing rocks into the lake...
