easter.

easter in pine river was a blessing. full of family, full of fun. special memories include playing with the fosters, a k'nex roller coaster, lj taking several steps of his own accord, nanna's birthday, and lj's unorthodox egg-coloring method.

glorious.

our final day with gramma in town brought lots of sunshine & the first warm temps of the season. we opted for canal park to get in a little shopping, lunch, and the lakewalk. kj found a rock and was convinced she had to throw it in lake superior, even though it was still covered with ice! then of course, lj couldn't stay in the bob with all that rock-play going on! we had the time of our lives after a long week & winter of being cooped up inside. to top it all off, a kind passerby offered to capture it on camera. imagine my surprise when he followed through on sharing these fabulous photos with us!

visitors.

it is so much fun when gramma & grampa come to play at our house!! thanks for helping entertain through the double-whammy strep and being cooped up inside. we love the creative play they bring to us! and lj certainly loved the birthday gifts... there was a lot of oooo-ing and ah-ah-ah-ing and general excitement when opening that box! ;)

spring.

we ventured south for spring break this year... well, at least far enough to escape snow-covered grounds! we planned and looked forward to our roadtrip for awhile, helping to celebrate the grand opening of our dear friends' new home! welcome home, maups! glad we could 'break it in' with you... march madness, a train ride, chicago-style pizza, playing at the neighborhood park, the circus!, an easter egg hunt, rubbing a growing belly, playing with the kiddos in the orange room, naps on your couches, delicious family-friendly meals together, teaming up for a ping-pong table assembly, and comfy beds-- thank you for the warm welcome to your new home!! we wish you much joy & peace there as God's love reigns in your family & lives.
