quilt.

i finished my second quilt ever! this one only took me two months. i was smarter this time & made it a reasonable size, for the baby & for the quilter in question. ;) i also, as always, learned a few things. but in the end, from three feet away, i love it & hope my dear little friend, kr, will, too! welcome to the world, kr! may you roll off this blanket many a time...

co-op.

we did it! with huge thanks to nanna, we managed to host our first-ever class with kj's little co-op school, officially dubbed the "little learners' exchange." the little learners had a grand time playing with pumpkin spice playdough & pumpkin cookie cutters, reading 'pumpkin pumpkin' & checking out the insides of a real pumpkin, picking up pumpkins 'way down yonder in the pumpking patch', dot-painting on their prize pumpkins, learning pumpkin fingerplays & stirring up 'pumpkin stew,' playing parachute with foam pumpkins, searching for baby pumpkins in the corn bin, and bowling with foam pumpkins. whew! thank goodness for mother-in-laws who are ecfe teachers! enjoy a glimpse of our bustling, pumpkiny afternoon!

birdies.

i'm still smiling after one of my favorite nights of this fall! complete with warm cider, warm hearts, busy hands, and encouraging words. i'm so thankful for the dear mama friends who gathered in my cozy basement last night to work together on a sewing/craft project and celebrate the coming of a new wee one! hope baby enjoys the birdie mobile... tweet-tweet!

auntie.

i just love cheering someone on as they accomplish their dreams. and wow, what an inspiration our auntie c was for us all this weekend! a whole 26.2 (and all the miles leading up to it) -- way to go, auntie c! and what a family to rally behind her, supportive AND cute to boot!
